SIRIUS'Doctor Radio hosts from NYU Langone Medical Center include renownedpsychiatrists, heart surgeons, emergency care specialists, cardiologists, apolice surgeon, as well as physicians who specialize in issues specific tomen, women and children.
SIRIUS and NYU have built a state-of-the-art broadcasting studio in thelobby of the Manhattan-based NYU Langone Medical Center to be the broadcasthome of Doctor Radio, bringing listeners right into the middle of the medicalworld. Doctors are minutes from the O.R., the E.R., and seeing patients, andcan often be seen performing their radio shows in scrubs.
Going even further into the world of medicine, in the coming weeks, aspart of a special series called 'Sounds of the Hospital,' Doctor Radio willtake listeners inside the operating room during open heart surgery. The serieswill also feature a night in Bellevue Hospital's emergency department, one ofthe busiest in New York City, as well as allow people to listen in and learnfrom a family in crisis at the NYU Child Study Center.
