Certification Demonstrates Commitment to Securing Confidential Customer Data for Health Care Technology Leader


BASKING RIDGE, N.J. and NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- TheTriZetto Group Inc., a leader in health care technology solutions servingnearly half of the insured population in the United States, announcedWednesday (June 18) that it has maintained the Verizon Business SecurityManagement Program (SMP) Cybertrust Enterprise Certification.


By meeting the program's standards, TriZetto continues to uphold highlevels of security, while mitigating risk and validating its processes forsafeguarding the confidential health care data of more than 100 million healthplan members. The company first earned the Cybertrust Certification in 2002.


The Security Management Program is designed to help businesses take aproactive approach to security by reducing risk across an entire organization.Working closely with customers, Verizon Business reviews information securitymeasures and synergistically addresses a broad range of security needs, fromnetwork and system analysis to security policy inspection.


Of the more than 1,000 businesses and government agencies whoseinformation security measures have been reviewed under the program, only abouthalf received the Cybertrust Certification, which must be renewed annually.


The security certification demonstrates that TriZetto's informationsecurity controls for its hosting centers, where its full suite of health caresoftware applications resides, have been examined, measured and validatedagainst a stringent set of security standards designed to protect againstmalicious attacks and other cyber threats. Stringent security controls havebeen implemented at these facilities to help enable the secure flow of databetween TriZetto's millions of health plan members and 30 leading health carepayer organizations.
