Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp. (NYSE:CDE) (CDE) said its new San Bartolome silver mine in Bolivia will begin processing ore shortly.
The company expects to pour the first dore before the end of April.
The Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, mining company said for 2008 it expects to produce over 6 million ounces of silver and to to produce over 10 million ounces during the first 12-months of full-scale operation.
Coeur d'Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE) said production and plant utilization will steadily increase with full plant capacity anticipated by August, as originally forecast.
Shares of Coeur d'Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE) recently traded down 13 cents, or 3.2%, at $ 3.91.
