Nov. 6--EL PASO -- El Paso's average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline declined 1.8 cents overnight to $2.541 on Wednesday, according to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report Web site.
Still, El Paso's average remains the highest among the Texas metro areas surveyed by AAA. The statewide Texas average fell 1.7 cents to $2.151.
The Las Cruces average fell 1.7 cents overnight to $2.631 and the New Mexico average also fell 1.7 cents to $2.548.
The national average is now $2.365, down 2.6 cents overnight.
David Burge --Hunt to manage Air Force base homes: HP Communities LLC, a partnership that includes Hunt Development Group of El Paso, has assumed operation and management of 3,689 homes at four Air Force bases after the partnership and U.S. Air Force finalized the redevelopment plan.
The development, called The Falcon Group, has initial project costs of $243 million. The homes are located at Moody Air Force Base, Ga.; Patrick Air Force Base, Fla.; Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.; and Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. The project includes development and construction of 315 new homes, renovation of 1,837 homes and completion of 148 homes partially completed, stated a release sent Wednesday by Hunt Development Group.
Hunt's partner in the project is Pinnacle AMS Development Co. LLC of Irvine, Calif.
Ed Shugert --Profit more than doubles: Oneok Partners, the parent company of Texas Gas Service, El Paso's natural gas utility, more than doubled its profit in the third quarter to $203.9 million, or $1.97 per share, the company reported Wednesday.
"We had exceptional third-quarter performance across all of our business segments," John Gibson, Oneok chairman and CEO, said in a written statement. "Our natural gas liquids businesses benefited from increased NGL (natural gas liquids) volumes and wider NGL product price differentials, and our natural gas gathering and processing segment experienced higher commodity prices and volumes."
