The next market session will close:

Good morning. The 2-day FOMC meeting begins today and investors have plenty to keep them occupied with another batch of earnings reports and some economic data after the opening bell.

As a whole, the earnings reports were relatively mixed, commodity prices are under pressure and the dollar is rising amid continued speculation that the Fed will soon pause its interest rate cutting cycle. Premarket futures are indicating a slightly lower open following mixed performances in overseas markets.

Premarket gainers: FLS, INFY, ACTU, CTSH, ACTS, NICK, EFUT, ODP, CNXT, GFIG, GLW, BEAS, CBAK, APOG, WB, EFUT, PSEM, TTWO, VLO, CTSH, SEED, TXRH, GTLS, and BEAV.

Premarket losers: IVAC, DGII, LDSH, MRK, LCAV, MDR, DROOY, V, ATHR, UCTT, JOSB, TRID, FSTR, SYMC, TITN, HIG, BUCY, CHINA, MAS, UA, SFN, MRK, THC, and FHN.

We have two market moving reports in the form of the Case-Shiller Home Prices Index at 9:AM and Consumer Confidence at 10:AM. The 2-day FOMC meeting begins today with an announcement at 2:15 PM tomorrow and the same kind of trading we saw yesterday is expected to continue until the announcement.
