Chilis Patrons Enjoy the Atmosphere and Baby-Back Ribs According to Employees

Tickermine surveyed thirty-one Chilis restaurants around the country. All but one restaurant had been open for more than one year. Employees of sixteen (52%) Chilis restaurants reported that customers enjoy dining there because of the atmosphere. Employees at eleven restaurants (35%) stated that their customers enjoyed menu over atmosphere and price. The average bill for a party of two ranged between $35 - $45 at fifteen (48%) of the restaurants surveyed. The range was $20 - $30 at twelve restaurants (39%). According to employees at twenty-six (84%) restaurants, most business is generated from their dining customers whereas employees at five (16%) restaurants reported that most business comes from the bar. Baby-Back Ribs was the most popular menu item at twelve (39%) restaurants. Other popular menu items included the Bottomless Express lunch at five (16%) restaurants and Smokehouse Burgers at four (13%) restaurants. Business has increased since last month at eleven (35%) restaurants.

42% of Benihanas Have Wait Times Less Than 15 Minutes

In a recent survey of Benihana restaurants, TickerMine found that the average wait time was between 20 and 30 minutes for 33% of restaurants polled. Twenty-seven percent said it was less than 15 minutes, and 21% said it was between 35 and 45 minutes. Fifteen percent said there was no wait at all. The average bill was between $25 and $40 one-third of the time. Another one-third of restaurants surveyed said the average bill was between $41 and $60. The remaining third said it was over $65. The most popular item on the menu (27%) was Hibachi Chicken. Rocky's Choice and Yakisoba (15% each) were also popular.

Majority of Krispy Kreme Stores Say Business Remains Steady

A majority of Krispy Kreme stores have not seen a drop in business in the past few months, according to TickerMine's latest poll. Sixty percent of stores surveyed said business has remained steady. Mornings are the busiest time of day for 73% of stores surveyed. Fifty percent of respondents said customers mostly are ordering coffee and donuts together; 47% said they sell mostly donuts without coffee. Seventy-three percent of coffee orders are for plain coffee, rather than specialty drinks. Sales of Krispy Kreme gift cards varied: 33% of stores polled said they're selling fewer cards than they did last month; 40% said sales have remained consistent; 27% said sales of gift cards have increased.
