Business Has Increased But June Not The Busiest Month For Advance America

Tickermine surveyed twenty-four Advance America Cash Advance Centers around the country and found that twenty-three (92%) reported that business has increased from this time last year. June was not the busiest month at twenty-three (96%) cash centers. Advance America continues to report that the average loan size is $100 - $350 at sixteen (67%) cash centers. Eight (33%) stated that loan size ranges between $500 - $1500. Employees at most centers (79%) continue to report that they loan cash to self-employed individuals.

Toyota Dealerships Abandon Attempts to Lure Customers in with Free Satellite Radio

Toyota Motors Corp. was surveyed by Tickermine researchers this week. 32 dealerships around the country were consulted about which vehicles sold best, whether any deals existed on SUVs or trucks, is satellite radio service being offered for free and are the dealerships experiencing more customer traffic than this time last month? The best selling vehicle is currently the Toyota Camry, according to 34% of those polled. 10 people or 31 per cent said the Toyota Corolla sold best. The Toyota Prius was cited four times (13%) followed by the Toyota 4Runner (three mentions or 9% of the poll.) Other mentions included , the Toyota Avalon (mentioned twice or 6% of the poll) and the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Toyota Tundra each got one mention (3%). 14 people or 44% of our respondents said they were not offering any deals on trucks or SUVs at 18 people or 56% said that they were. Not surprisingly, only 11 people or 34%, said sales were up from this time last month. 21 people or 66% of those polled said that sales were either flatter or the same from a month earlier. And most dealerships have given up on baiting customers with free satellite radio. 11 people or 34% said they offered free satellite radio. But 21 people or 66% said they did not.

Gas Prices Likely To Continue To Rise Says Exxon Mobile

Tickermine interviewed employees of thirty-three Exxon Mobile stores across the country and determined that the average price per gallon of premium-unleaded gasoline is $4.21. The average price for regular unleaded was $3.95 per gallon. Asked whether gas prices are likely to rise over the coming weeks, twenty-nine (88%) said yes. Employees at twenty-eight (85%) stores stated that they plan to cut down the number of car trips if gas prices rise.

Tire Sales Down From Last Year, Say 52% of Retailers

TickerMine polled tire retailers, including large chains such as Sears, Sam's Club, and Wal-Mart, and learned that the best selling tires this month are Goodyear (30%), Michelin (24%) and Bridgestone (18%). When asked which tire brands were of the best quality, responses were in line with sales: Goodyear was the most common response (36%). Michelin (24%) and Bridgestone (12%) were also mentioned. Fifty-two percent of stores surveyed said tire sales are down from last year; 24% said sales are up.

Business Has Not Slowed For The Daily Grill

Tickermine interviewed employees of twenty-two Daily Grill restaurants and found that only eight (36%) believed business had slowed over the past few months. All (100%) restaurants had been open for more than one year and fifteen (68%) stated that dinner was their busiest time of day. The most popular menu item was the Charbroiled Steak at eight (36%) restaurants followed by the Oven Roasted Garlic-Honey Chicken at three (14%) restaurants and The Daily Cobb Salad at two (9%). Wait times were reported as 10-20 minutes at nine (41%) restaurants, six (27%) restaurants reported longer wait times of up to 35 minutes. Employees surveyed stated that the average bill for a party of two was $45-75 at ten (45%) restaurants and between $20-40 at nine (41%) restaurants.

Yoga Items Most Popular at Lululemon Stores

On average, customers are spending between $50-$70 at eleven (50%) Lululemon stores around the country. Four (18%) stores told Tickermine that their customers spend $145-$200. Eleven (50%) stores believed that 65%-80% of their customers were returning customers. Women’s yoga tank tops are the most popular selling item at ten (45%) stores followed by yoga mats (18%) and Activa jackets at four (18%) stores. Employees of sixteen stores (73%) reported that they have no trouble keeping stock of the most popular items. Thirteen (59%) stores said that their customers paid full price for items compared to buying from the sales rack. Only four (18%) of the Lululemon stores surveyed had been open less than three months.
