The next market session will close:

Good morning. Premarket activity suggests that we'll see a positive day following a better than expected earnings report from Bank Of America (BAC) and news that Roche has offered to buy the rest of Genentech (DNA). Oil prices are also on the rise this morning.

Premarket gainers: DNA, BAC, FRE, FNM, CRNT, ANAD, NTES, WM, WB, MPEL, FLY, NOG, BCSI, COGO, KEY, FITB, ZION, YHOO, BHP, UBS, ING, BTU, MT, NCOC, JRCC, RTP, BCS, CLR, ALDN, ETFC, SIRI, & AME.

Premarket losers: ARTC, SHPGY, UAUA, HUN, CHIC, DAL, SGP, WFT, CAL, TRV, RPM, AMR, GFI, & ESLR.

The only economic datapoint today is the 10:AM leading indicators report which points to the direction of the economy over the next three to six months. Economists currently anticipate a poor reading.

Along with lots of earnings reports this week, after the close of trading today we have American Express (AXP), Apple (AAPL), and Texas Instruments Inc (TXN) to help guide market sentiment. Of course, the main task this week is to keep, if not build upon last week's gains. Have a great week!
