48% of On the Border Restaurants Say Business is Better Than Last Year
At On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, dinner is the busiest time of day, according to 72% of restaurant locations polled in TickerMine's latest survey. Twenty-four percent of On the Border restaurants are located near a mall where there are other restaurants. The average check size for a party of two is between $30 and $40, said 72% of sites polled. Twenty percent said the average tab is under $30, and the remaining eight percent said it's over $40. The most popular menu items at On the Border are fajitas (32%), the Ultimate Loaded Queso (12%) and Double-Stacked Club Quesadillas (8%). Forty-eight percent of restaurants polled said they are busier than this time last year; 36% said business is about the same as last year, and 20% said it's slower.
36% of Advance America Respondents say they Won't Loan to the Self-Employed
We profiled Advance America, Cash Advance Center, this week by interviewing respondents at 22 locations about what the average loan size is for customers? Is this month the busiest in the year? Are you busier than a year ago? And do you loan to self-employed folk? This was after the company announced plans to close down several centers. Results were interesting. We learned that the average loan size is $322.05 according to our respondents. 77% say that October is not the busiest month of the year, but 23% reported that October and November were busiest. 91% say they are busier than a year ago compared with just 9% who say business has slumped and while 64% of those surveyed say they will extend loans to the self-employed. 36% will not
37% of Respondents at Van Heusen Stores say Fiscal Worries Hurt Business
Tickermine consulted 27 locations of the Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. retail stores this week and asked which clothing item sells best? Are you sufficiently stocked of this item? Can you get more? Are you expecting a new line of Van Heusen clothes to come and are worries about the economy deterring sales? We found that men’s dress shirts sell best according to 81% of those polled and 7% say it is their sportswear that sells well. 96% say they are sufficiently stocked of these items, 4% say they are not and all 27 respondents say they can get more if needed. 22 people or 81% were not expecting new clothes in this season, but 19% say they are and while 63% say their customers aren’t fazed by the global fiscal crisis, 37% think these factors hurt sales a lot.
