(By Salman - iStockAnalyst Writer) Late on Monday, Chinese online game firm Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (NASDAQ: SNDA) announced that its third quarter net profit jumped 41.1% to 337.1 mln yuan ($49.4 million) or 4.62 yuan (68 cents) per American Depositary share, compared to 238.9 million yuan, or 3.26 yuan per ADS, in the same quarter, a year ago. Excluding one time charges and special items, the company earned 4.78 yuan per ADS in the most recent quarter. Revenue climbed by 42% to 936.5 mln yuan US$137.3 million. Analyst on average had forecast the company to earn US$0.55 per ADS on revenue of US$131.93 million. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Shanda Tianqiao Chen said "we are pleased to report another solid quarter despite the global financial turmoil.
