Obama Selling Military Secrets To China For Debt Forgiveness?

The next market session will close:

Ran across this article posted in Jumping In Pools. Not sure how credible it is, but allegedly Barack Obama will provide the blueprints for the B-2 stealth bomber to China in exchange for $50 billion in debt relief. According to author Richard Hogarty:
According to the Administration, this proposal will help the United States resolve its debt issues. They point out their belief that the B-2 bomber is "strategically obsolete", according to a source in the White House Press Office. In addition, the source claims that the Chinese would be unable to create their own functioning stealth bomber fleet for "at least eight years."

American allies Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea are very wary of the proposal. Koo Syi, a geopolitical analyst from South Korea, points out that this technology could be passed to China's allies. This was the case when Chinese nuclear technology was transferred to Pakistan and North Korea. According to Koo, Obama has rendered US allies' opinions as "irrelevant."

While this proposal is controversial, it is not being presented to Congress, where it could meet with stern opposition. Instead, the State Department has been informed to assisted the Defense Department with the transfer of materials.
A little skeptical here as frankly $50 billion is less than a drop in the bucket of Chinese Treasury holdings which are easily well over $1 trillion. The economic impact of this transaction would be negligible to zero. On the other hand, if this ends up being true, it is quite frightening, as it merely demonstrates, aside from all the scary geo-political considerations, just how bad of a dealmaker our President is.

In other China-related news, Reuters reporting that Tim Geithner's soothing words from his Beijing whirlwind tour that "Chinese assets are very safe," drew loud laughter from the audience.
"Chinese assets are very safe," Geithner said in response to a question after a speech at Peking University, where he studied Chinese as a student in the 1980s.

His answer drew loud laughter from his student audience, reflecting scepticism in China about the wisdom of a developing country accumulating a vast stockpile of foreign reserves instead of spending the money to raise living standards at home.
Alas, laughter is more and more the traditional response when other economies consider the sustainability of the ongoing economic fiasco developing before our eyes (and this author's response to the continued market manipulation).

Seeking debt counseling is not a sign of failure by janejim
Banks have huge debts, but they're getting a helping hand from the federal government. If you have overwhelming debt--perhaps from bad investments, or maybe a job loss, a medical crisis or just plain overspending--you're probably on your own. Check the website http://obamadebthelp2009.blogspot.com
to see if they can help. I am glad I did read it before I talk to my CC company and it helped - Jane Jim, California

Didn't Clinton sell China satellite and nuclear technologies?  Didn't Israel sell our top-secret technology to China that we GAVE them?  China will have a bigger and better military than the USA within a decade, and they already can sink our aircraft carriers with their small stealthy subs, as they proved by popping-up undetected within range of our fleet.  China has also been given control over 'security' at the ports of Vancouver B.C., and Los Angeles, plus the Panama Canal: I see them as the three best points to stage an invasion on the West coast.   Are we being set-up for destruction like Nazi Germany was?

Your premise is wrong,so your conclusion is wrong too.Why China and US cant be friends?Doesnt China show good will to the United States through purchasing a large quantity of American Bonds?China has said I love you, Unite States.Do you need to response his kindness with curses and rotten eggs?
Well, if you control someone's money you pretty much control them. So you’re under the impression China purchased our debt because they are our friend and want to help us? The problem with this original post is they think China will have to invade with force. Does anyone remember how many shots were fired when the USSR finally collapsed? It will take between 2-3 shots of that for the USA to collapse. We are getting new regulations on carbon emissions due to the effect on the environment, yet we are being taken over economically by a country that has no pollution controls to speak of. If this nonsense was about the world environment than we would impose regulations on pollution caused by any item shipped to, consumed by, or shipped from the USA.

They owe us by James
I say we knock a trillion off what we owe them already seeing that they stole all of our nuclear secrets through Clinton.

Clinton sold us by ArvinQ
Clinton sold us down the river - the Yangtze river.  His policies gave China the greatest advantage, advancement, and gains in recent world economics.

They say you don't know something is true until it is officially denied - then you can count on it being true.  Clinton was sure quick to say of our economy "Don't blame this on me".   And there ye go.

not credible by Kidd
I am not giving credit to Obama, I don't believe he is the messiah, and i dissagree with most of the stuff that comes from his mouth.  But this is flat-out false.  50 web pages repeating the same article, all blogs, no real credited news site.  No AP, no Reuters, and Boston Reviewer is not a publication i can find, and Richard Hogarty from boston died in 2006 as far as i can tell.  Yes, there are lots of reasons to dislike Obama, but making up lies only loses credibility for the people who really want to make a positive difference in this country

I agree with you 100%. I couldn't have said it any better. There is plenty going on that I disagree with to have to make up stuff.
