The next market session will close:

It appears that small cap stocks could be poised to move forward when the market resumes its rally. In this week's ETF screener we find a couple of small cap ETFs with new technical analysis buy signals. Many others were close, but need just a little more umph to get there, maybe next week.

One ETF chart stood out to us: Ultra Telecommunications ProShares (LTL). This ETF has been beaten down for a while and the chart sure does give off signs that LTL wants to move higher. At the same time, many other telecom ETFs are on the verge of posting buy signals too. Maybe the smart money is rolling in.

ETFs that should outperform in the weeks ahead:

  • Vanguard Extended Durable Trs Idx ETF (EDV)
  • WisdomTree World ex-US Growth (DNL)
  • WisdomTree International Energy (DKA)
  • First Trust Health Care AlphaDEX (FXH)
  • SPDR S&P International HealthCare Sector (IRY)
  • SPDR S&P Pharmaceuticals (XPH)
  • Internet Infrastructure HOLDRs (IIH)
  • SPDR Dow Jones Large Cap (ELR)
  • PowerShares Dynamic OTC (PWO)
  • PowerShares Zacks Small Cap (PZJ)

ETFs that should outperform in the weeks ahead:

  • iShares MSCI Israel Cap Invest Mkt Index (EIS)
  • iShares MSCI Mexico Investable Mkt Idx (EWW)
  • PowerShares DB Base Metals (DBB)
  • iPath DJ AIG Copper TR Sub-Idx ETN (JJC)
  • iPath DJ AIG Ind Metals TR Sub-Idx ETN (JJM)
