Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. (NYSE:FDP)

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc., together with its subsidiaries, produces, transports, sources, markets, and distributes fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables worldwide. It also offers prepared fruit and vegetables, juices, beverages, and snacks. The company provides various fresh-cut fruit products, including pineapple, melons, grapes, citrus, apples, mango, pears, peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries, apricots, avocados, and kiwi; other fruit products comprising strawberries and plantains; and fresh-cut vegetable products primarily consisting of potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and cucumbers, as well as prepared salads, such as coleslaw and potato salad. In addition, Fresh Del engages in ocean freight; the manufacture of plastics and box products comprising bins, trays, bags, and boxes; growing grains on leased farms, including soybean, wheat, and rice; and the poultry farming businesses, as well as owns and operates grain silos for the storage of grains.

In the last four quarters ended September 2010, the company's reported EPS either met or fell short of analysts' consensus estimates by margins in the range of -21.43% to 20%. The company will issue a press release on its fourth quarter and full-year 2010 results prior to the market opening on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. For December quarter, the company's EPS is expected to be in the range of $-0.05 - $0.17.

Currently, the stock is trading in the range of $26.75 - $27.52, compared to 52 week range of $ 19.15 - $27.69. One year consensus target price is at $24.

S&W Seed Company (NASDAQ:SANW)

S&W Seed Company (S&W Seed) is engaged in breeding, contracting to grow, processing and selling agricultural commodities, which primarily include alfalfa seed and, to a lesser extent, wheat. Seed Holding, LLC and Stevia California, LLC are the Company's wholly owned subsidiaries. As of January 29, 2010, Seed Holding, LLC owned 85% interest in S&W Seed. In January 2010, the Company acquired Seed Holding, LLC. In May 2010, the Company acquired S&W Seed Company, a general partnership.

In the last three quarters ended December 2010, the company's reported EPS either fell short of analysts' consensus estimates by huge margins.

Currently, the stock is trading in the range of $4.27 - $4.42, compared to 52 week range of $2.51 - $5.25. One year consensus target price is at $4.25.
