Wall Street remained volatile in the mid-day session, as surging oil prices following clashes in Libya and MENA region overshadowed a plethora of corporate earnings and encouraging job data.

Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.53 percent or 63.65 points to 12,042.13, and the Standard and Poor's 500 lost 0.42 percent or 5.43 points to 1,301.97. NASDAQ Composite was marginally up 0.08 percent or 2.15 points to 2,725.14.

During the current trading session, several stocks recorded a new 52-week high/low. Some notable stocks are discussed here.

52-Week Highs:

Brush Engineered Materials Inc. (NYSE: BW) recorded a new 52-week high of $42.59 today, with a trading volume of 328 thousand shares. The stock's 52-week low was $18.24 with an average trading volume of 96 thousand shares. The company reported net income of $12.6 million or 61 cents per share in its Q4. BW was trading at $42.17, up 22.37 percent or $7.71 in the afternoon session.

Polypore International Inc. (NYSE: PPO) hit a new all-time high of $58.70 today. The stock's all-time low was $14.39 with an average trading volume of 453 thousand shares. Today, the trading volume was 967 thousand shares. Beating analysts' expectation, the company reported a Q4 profit of $17.7 million or 38 cents per share. Polypore jumped 16.05 percent or $7.95 to $57.48 during the mid-day trading.

MasTec Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) posted a net income of $38.4 million or 44 cents per share in its Q4. The stock recorded a new all-time high of $18.17 today with a trading volume of 1.7 million shares. The stock's 52-week low was $9.26 with an average trading volume of 671 thousand shares. MTZ added 12.02 percent or $1.92 to $17.89 in the mid-day.

Royale Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ROYL) hit a new 52-week high of $5.64 today. The stock's 52-week low was $1.76. The trading volume was 13 million shares against its average trading volume of 943 thousand shares. ROYL jumped 51.82 percent or $1.85 to $5.42 during the afternoon session.

Chart Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: GTLS) recorded a new all-time high of $44.63 today with a trading volume of 712 thousand shares. The stock's 52-week low was $13.85 with an average trading volume of 278 thousand shares. The company reported a 22 percent increase in its Q4 revenue to $158.8 million.
