The next market session will close:

Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ:MVIS) has been in a slump since announcing their "huge deal" with Motorola (MOT) for their revolutionary PicoP Projector. Here is what Rob Shaddock, CTO of Motorola Mobile Devices has to say:

So why, 4 months after announcing that they finally sealed the deal with Motorola, is Microvision's stock flat-lining like a baby boomer having a heart attack?

First of all, they have announced zero news since their July MOT press release. Secondly, they decided to sell a stack of Warrants (12.9 Million to be exact) right after the MOT announcement, which caused some dilution and held shares down. But we think the stock can only be held down for so long, keep reading to find out more...

If you haven't heard of the PicoP yet, PicoPTM is the name of Microvision's proprietary display engine. PicoP is an ultra-miniature projector capable of producing large, high contrast, color rich, high resolution images. PicoP is small and low-power enough to be embedded directly into mobile devices, such as cell phones.

Potential display applications based on the PicoP display engine are numerous. We are currently working with partners on the following applications:

  •  Pico Projectors that can be embedded into mobile devices or stand alone accessory pico projectors that connect to mobile devices,
  •  Vehicle Displays including head-up and instrument cluster displays,
  •  Wearable Displays including helmet mounted and mobile device eyewear.

According to Nokia CTO Tero Ojanperä: ""Your whole media will be indexed and there for you to take with you," said Ojanperä, before getting back on a futurology tip. "If you come to Amsterdam, you might film some tulip fields in HDTV video, and then later go to a friend's house and show those videos projected onto the wall, using the projector that's been integrated within your device. All of this will be possible within three years."

Sounds like the PicoP processor to me. Could we hear about a deal with Nokia coming soon? Anything is possible.. Microvision's contract with Motorola is non-binding, meaning they can sign contracts with whoever they please.

Broker A said it best: All in all, investing in MVIS right now is like putting money into a safety deposit box, where a sneaky family member occasionally takes a few hundred bucks out--every so often.

However, we think once they announce another deal or some positive press, you could check your safety deposit box and find that the money has found a way to split it's chromosomes and clone itself to double it's original size.
