As Summit continues to build its slate of animated films, ASTRO BOY willfollow the highly anticipated August 8, 2008 release of the company's 3Danimation, FLY ME TO THE MOON.
ASTRO BOY is the second CG-animated feature film from Imagi Studios,following on the success of its 2007 box office hit TMNT.
Summit's Senior Vice President of Production, Geoff Shaevitz, will overseethe project for the studio. The rights to the film were negotiated on behalfof Summit by the studio's Executive Vice President of Business Affairs, AndrewMatosich as well as Alan Grodin on behalf of Imagi Studios.
