MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The Russian government is not going to renounce its policy which aims to raise competitiveness of the real production sector, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.
"Despite the global financial crisis, we are not going to renounce our policy of developing and raising the competitiveness of the real production sector," Putin said at a meeting with the Russian Communist Party faction in Moscow on Thursday.
Today this task is particularly important, he said, "We will draw a clear distinction between anti-crisis measures and strategic solutions," Putin said.
"Today there is a need for institutional reforms, which will help our industry to reach a totally new level and thus increase economic strength in general," Putin said. Over the next one or two years we will need to update our industry regulating base and adopt modern technical regulations, he said.
