ABINGDON, Va., May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stockholders of AlphaNatural Resources, Inc. (NYSE: ANR) approved four proposals submitted for voteby the company at its annual meeting held today in Abingdon, Va.
Stockholders approved the following nine director nominees: Mary EllenBowers, John S. Brinzo, Hermann Buerger, Kevin S. Crutchfield, E. Linn Draper,Jr., Glenn A. Eisenberg, John W. Fox, Jr., Michael J. Quillen and Ted G. Wood.
Stockholders also approved proposals to amend and restate the Long-TermIncentive Plan, adopt the 2008 Annual Incentive Bonus Plan, and ratify theappointment of KPMG LLP as independent auditors for the 2008 fiscal year.
