Ctrip Gives One Million Yuan to Help Sichuan Earthquake Orphans

SHANGHAI, China, May 8 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CTRP), a leading travel serviceprovider of hotel accommodations, airline tickets and packaged tours in China,today announced that it is donating RMB 1,000,000 to establish a SunshineChildren's Fund that will help earthquake orphans finish primary schoolstudies in the areas affected by the May 12th Sichuan earthquake. The fundwill be used to cover tuition fees and living expenses.


From the time the earthquake first struck Wenchuan, Sichuan Province,Ctrip and its over 7,000 employees have responded to with concern and care forearthquake victims. In addition to the donation, Ctrip is calling on itsmembers to redeem their Ctrip points to purchase stationery, books and sportsequipment, which Ctrip will send to Sichuan to be given to orphans in theaffected areas.
