Latest Action/Adventure from the Makers of 'The Matrix' Trilogy to Open in 110 IMAX Theatres Worldwide
LOS ANGELES, May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - IMAX Corporation and WarnerBros. Pictures announced today that Speed Racer, the new live-action film fromthe creators of The Matrix trilogy, will open in North America on 84 IMAXscreens on May 9, 2008, simultaneously with the movie's wide release. Thepicture will also open internationally in 26 IMAX(R) theatres during the daysand weeks following the domestic launch.
Speed Racer has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image andsound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) with IMAX DMR(R) (DigitalRe-mastering) technology. Warner Bros. Pictures will be the exclusivedistributor of the film to IMAX theatres worldwide.
