SINA Launches News Site in English to Provide Timely China News and Content to the International Community

SHANGHAI, China, May 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- SINA Corporation (Nasdaq:SINA), the leading Internet portal in China today announced that it hasofficially launched its English news site ( http://english.sina.com ) toprovide timely China related news and other content service in English. Thenew site is intended to provide comprehensive coverage of current events inChina for an international audience utilizing SINA's core competence in onlinemedia space.


The recent major earthquake in Sichuan Province in China has caught wideattention among global communities. SINA's newly launched English site hasbeen providing a full coverage of the earthquake and the current rescueefforts by Chinese government and Chinese people.
