Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of financial
and operational consulting services, today announced that William T.
Foley and Judith A. Thorp have joined the Company as managing directors
focused on improving hospital client’s
performance.

better prepare our clients to navigate those challenges,”
said Gary E. Holdren, chairman and chief executive officer, Huron
Consulting Group.
Foley provides interim management services resulting in improved
financial performance at hospitals allowing these clients to better
serve their communities. With more than 30 years of experience, he has
served as CEO of hospitals and healthcare systems around the country,
including academic medical centers. Since moving into the consulting
field, Foley has assisted with leadership restructuring, financial
turnarounds, and held interim CEO positions for clients. Prior to this
appointment, Foley was serving as a consultant to Huron. He will be
based in Huron’s Chicago office.
Thorp focuses on reducing costs for hospitals in their benefits
and compensation areas. She advises clients on compensation arrangements
and health and welfare benefits plans. Her expertise includes Section
280G, pension plans, profit sharing plans, Section 401(k) plans, stock
option plans and Section 403(b) plans. She comes to Huron from SMART
where she served as an executive managing director. Thorp was also the
national partner in-charge of the compensation and benefits practice at
KPMG. Thorp will be based in Huron’s Chicago
office.
