Sudanese President Praises Country's Diplomats

Text of report by state-owned Sudanese radio on 8 July

The president of the republic, FM Umar Al-Bashir, has praised the active role being played by the Sudanese diplomacy in building Sudanese foreign relations with neighbouring countries, African countries and Gulf countries in particular.

During his meeting today with the newly-appointed Sudanese ambassadors to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Malaysia, Italy, France and Romania in the presence of the foreign affair minister at the presidential palace.

The president expressed his gratitude for effort being made in this field, pointing out to the certificates which were received by Sudan from the high-ranking international organizations.

The president further touched on the role of diplomacy in reflecting the true image of the country and refuting Western media that continued to distort Sudan's foreign image.
