SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Achievo(R) Corporation, a software outsourcing and information technology services provider, is proud to announce it is the exclusive provider of outsourcing services for HAVI Logistics Services, Ltd., a subsidiary of the HAVI Group LP, the global company that is providing much of the nourishment to Beijing's Olympic athletes and spectators. Achievo offers its clients local account management and project delivery capabilities through its regional offices in Japan, North America, Europe and Greater China that are integrated with and supported by its offshore delivery centers in China and its headquarters in the United States.

Working directly with HAVI, Achievo is providing the company with a full range of engineering services, including architecture, design, coding, and testing, designed to help HAVI deliver thousands of meals for Beijing's Olympic Village. The software system was designed by HAVI and outsourced to Achievo as a multi-language platform capable of supporting HAVI China's operations.

The Achievo team worked closely with the HAVI IT team to develop a customized Logistic Service Operating System (LSOS) that can make the business process more efficient. The system is designed to streamline the logistic distribution activities, including Planning, Inventory Management, Delivery, Monitoring and Statistics Reporting.

"The system is based on J2EE SOA platform, MySQL database, and iReport reporting tool. Achievo has also developed a system framework called WAF. WAF is a J2EE-based Web Application Framework (WAF) that focuses on multi-tier application solutions. The WAF can run in any standards-compliant Servlet container and/or EJB container."
