Further Strengthens Huron’s Discovery
Market Leadership
Huron Consulting Group Inc. (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of
financial and operational consulting services, today announced the
opening of a new document review center in Chicago and a newly-formed
alliance with the document review and electronic discovery company,
Discovery Services LLC (DSL).
“We are thrilled to announce this new alliance
with DSL along with the build out of a new document review center at our
Chicago headquarters,” said Gary E. Holdren,
chairman and chief executive officer, Huron Consulting Group. “With
the explosion of electronic documents and the amended Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure for electronic discovery, more and more corporate legal
teams and law firms are turning to Huron to manage discovery with ever
expanding document collections. Huron helps control ballooning costs and
reduce risks from preservation through review and production.”
Huron has long been a leader in the e-discovery marketplace, and the
alliance with DSL only adds increased value to the Company’s
role as trusted business advisor to offices of general counsel and their
law firms. DSL founder and CEO Ashish Prasad has an unparalleled
reputation in e-discovery matters. Prasad founded and led Mayer Brown LLP’s
Electronic Discovery and Records Management Group. He is a frequent
author and speaker on electronic discovery, and has served, among other
things, as the co-editor in chief of the forthcoming Practicing Law
Institute Treatise, Electronic Discovery (2008), the executive
editor of the original edition of The Sedona Principles: Best
Practices Principles & Recommendations for Addressing Electronic
Document Production, and a member of the Leadership Committee of the
American Bar Association Minority Counsel program. DSL will provide
document review, electronic discovery, records management, expert
testimony and consulting services with Huron as its exclusive partner.
The Company decided to open its newest document review center in Chicago
given the strength of Huron’s relationships
with the business and legal communities in the Midwest region. Huron’s
document review centers combine technology with efficient processes all
in a secure environment. This, in turn, delivers accurate analyses on a
cost-effective basis. The result is an integrated review process that is
substantially faster, more accurate and less expensive than more
traditional review services.
