Robert E. Grady Joins Symbio's Board of Directors

ROCKVILLE, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 08/19/08 -- The Symbio Group ("Symbio"), a leading provider of software development, testing, and globalization outsourcing services, announced today that Robert E. Grady, a Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, one of the world's leading private equity firms, has joined the Company's Board of Directors. In addition to his extensive experience as a venture capitalist, investment banker, and public official, Mr. Grady brings wealth of contacts and relationships in the technology and investment communities globally.

At Carlyle, Mr. Grady is the Chairman of Carlyle Venture Partners ("CVP"), which invests in high growth technology, medical device and business services companies. He has served as global coordinator of and helped to build Carlyle's global venture capital and growth investing operations, which today are comprised of over $4.2 billion in assets under management in 9 funds. Mr. Grady is a member of the Investment Committees of CVP, Carlyle Asia Growth Partners and Carlyle Europe Technology Partners. Carlyle has been an active venture and growth capital investor for over a decade, and has made over 80 venture and growth capital investments in the U.S. and over two dozen in China.

Mr. Grady is a director of Maxim Integrated Circuits (PINKSHEETS: MXIM) and AuthenTec, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUTH), and a former director of Blackboard (traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol "BBBB") and Ingenio (sold to AT&T, traded on the NYSE under the symbol "T"). He also serves on the boards of directors of several privately held Carlyle portfolio companies, including eScreen, Panasas, Verari Systems, Secure Elements, Wall Street Institute, Viator, and The Health Central Network. Mr. Grady also served as a director and was Chairman in 2006-2007 of the National Venture Capital Association ("NVCA").
