Sep. 6--GUILDERLAND -- Police are investigating a robbery Friday night at a bank night deposit box on Western Avenue.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:05 p.m. at the Bank of America at 1791 Western Ave., a police dispatcher said. Officers were searching for a man who allegedly brandished a gun and stole money from someone with a night deposit bag. The victim was not injured.
Police said the night deposit bag held about $2,500 in cash and a check.
The suspect was last seen fleeing the bank southerly, behind the bank, by foot.
