Ninety-Six of the 100 Largest Companies Worldwide Rely on Blue Coat
to Secure the Internet Gateway and Enforce Policies while Accelerating

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:BCSI), the leader in WAN Application
Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced that 81 percent of
FORTUNE Global 500 companies are securing and accelerating their
Internet connections and Wide Area Networks (WAN) with Blue Coat®
ProxySG® appliances,
according to the 2008 ranking by FORTUNE. In the U.S., 67 percent
of Fortune 500 companies rely on Blue Coat appliances.

Blue Coat solutions provide visibility, security and control of content

From its recent acquisition of Packeteer, Blue Coat added 28 customers
that are on the FORTUNE Global 500. The acquisition also brought 58
additional FORTUNE 500 customers to Blue Coat, including three in the
top 100.
