Inscrybe Healthcare improves workflow processes to ensure timely patient care

(Nasdaq: ADAT), a worldwide provider of secure workflow management software and web-based services, today announced that Virtuox, Inc., a leading Florida-based overnight Pulse Oximetry testing company, has implemented its Inscrybe Healthcare solution to securely organize and manage their time-critical testing results and physician orders for respiratory and sleep disorder patients.

Patients with serious sleep disorders typically require overnight monitoring of their blood oxygen levels with a Pulse Oximeter and often need daily adjustments in their prescribed medications based on test results. Subtle changes in breathing rhythms and oxygen levels during sleep cycles can be indications of serious medical conditions or become life-threatening if not treated promptly.

The Inscrybe Healthcare secure exchange service combines web and fax based communications capabilities to streamline administrative processes, reduce turn-around time and improve customer service. In this case, Inscrybe is being used to automate the communication of thousands of weekly test results and requests for changes in physician orders between Virtuox and their referring physicians, eliminating the potential for delays. Specifically, Inscrybe matches physicians' faxed or electronic responses to requests and the auto-resend feature sends a reminder if the physician has not replied within pre-set time parameters.
