CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 12, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich
Corporation's (NYSE: GR) Customer Services headquarters and maintenance,
repair and overhaul (MRO) campus in Monroe, N.C. received the Union County
Chamber of Commerce's annual Corporate Spirit Award. The award was presented
at Monroe Economic Development's 10th annual Hook & Slice Industry
Appreciation banquet held on September 11, 2008.
The award is bestowed annually upon the Union County business that has
displayed the highest level of corporate citizenship through participation in
and contribution to community organizations. Employees of the Goodrich
facility in Monroe have volunteered more than 3,400 hours per year and donated
time and money to various organizations throughout the area. Some agencies
supported by the employees have included the Union County Partnership for
Progress, United Way of Central Carolinas, South Piedmont Community College,
JobReady Partnership, the Union County Community Arts & Science Council and
local public schools.

Goodrich Customer Services performs MRO services for a variety of civil
and military aircraft systems and components. The Monroe facility is

of capabilities and enhance its customer support network.
The 10th Annual Hook & Slice banquet was hosted by Monroe Economic
Development, City of Monroe Energy Services and the Union County Partnership
for Progress, and was held at the Monroe Country Club.
