McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE: MDR) (“McDermott” or the “Company”) announced today that due to the continuing impact of Hurricane Ike on the greater Houston area, its representatives are unable to attend the previously scheduled D.A. Davidson Engineering and Construction Conference in San Francisco.

"We regret that McDermott will not be able to take part in the conference this year. We very much appreciate the invitation from, and understanding of, our friends at D.A. Davidson,” said Michael S. Taff, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “I was very much looking forward to participating and further communicating McDermott’s story, however, with the ongoing recovery effort, the majority of Houston without electricity, and a curfew in effect throughout this week, it is best that we cancel our appearance at this time."

Investors can still access the slides that McDermott previously anticipated presenting to the Davidson conference, at www.mcdermott.com in the investor relations section.

McDermott is an engineering and construction company, with specialty manufacturing and service capabilities, focused on energy infrastructure. McDermott's customers are predominantly utilities and other power generators, major and national oil companies, and the United States Government. With its global operations, McDermott operates in over 20 countries with more than 25,000 employees, and can be found on the internet at www.mcdermott.com.
