Horizon Air has extended its Double Miles offer on Horizon Shuttle
flights between Seattle and Portland through Dec. 15, 2008.
Members of Mileage Plan, who regularly earn 500 miles on flights between
Seattle and Portland, will instead earn 1,000 miles each way when they
register for the promotion at www.horizonair.com.
“Often cited as one the best frequent-flier
programs in the industry, Mileage Plan lets you build miles toward free
travel when flying to any of the 95 cities served by Horizon and Alaska
-- including Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico -- as well as when flying on our
partner airlines,” said Dan Russo, Horizon’s
vice president of marketing and communications. “This
special offer helps you earn that free travel even faster.”
Horizon offers convenient schedules for its Shuttle service between
Seattle and Portland, with flights operating every hour and also on the
half hour during peak business hours. And with Horizon’s
Ala Cart planeside baggage service, passengers can have plenty of room
for their carry-on luggage and avoid a stop at baggage claim.
Horizon’s security-screening express lanes for
Shuttle passengers (available in both Portland and Seattle) help get
Shuttle customers to and through the TSA checkpoints faster.
All flights come with Horizon's special brand of inflight service, which
includes snacks, Starbucks coffee, premium Jones Soda, and Northwest
wines and microbrews at no additional charge.
Horizon’s fleet serves 50 cities throughout
Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Baja
California Sur (Mexico), and British Columbia and Alberta (Canada).

Mileage Plan Terms and Conditions: Registration is required and
must be done prior to your first qualifying flight. Double Miles valid
only on qualifying paid nonstop Shuttle flights operated by Horizon Air
between Seattle and Portland taken through Dec. 15, 2008. Flight miles
must be credited to your Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account in order
to earn the Double Miles bonus. Not valid for free or award travel.
Double Miles based on actual or minimum flight miles. Bonus Miles do not
count toward MVP or MVP Gold status. Please allow four to six weeks for
