Smart Ones® Brand Launches Online Community Dedicated to Helping People Start the Day off Right; Introduces New Line of Breakfast Items

Getting started in the morning just got easier, thanks to the Morning Express Breakfast Club, a new online community for sharing healthy breakfast recipes, tips and advice at www.eatyourbest.com/breakfastclub. The new online destination is designed to fuel the day from the start and also introduces the Smart Ones brand’s new line of breakfast quesadillas and sandwiches.

According to a recent study conducted by Weight Watchers Smart Ones brand, 53 percent of those surveyed said they wish there were a greater variety of warm breakfast foods to eat on the go. Members of the new Morning Express Breakfast Club can solve that dilemma by accessing convenient, delicious recipes and tips from a variety of experts, including New York Times best-selling cookbook author and celebrity chef, Devin Alexander.

"The Morning Express Breakfast Club is a unique resource for people who crave a warm and nutritious breakfast, but don’t want to sacrifice delicious food or precious time,” said Alexander. “Breakfast Club members now can engage with others to discuss the best healthy breakfast recipes and latest trends to start their day off right.”

The Morning Express Breakfast Club also is giving back to children in need of a good, nutritious meal. From September 1 – December 31, 2008, Weight Watchers Smart Ones brand will donate one dollar ($1) to Share Our Strength for each person who signs up for The Morning Express Breakfast Club, up to a guaranteed maximum of $100,000. Share Our Strength is a national organization committed to making sure no kid in America grows up hungry and also is supported by the Weight Watchers Lose for Good Campaign.

Launched during national breakfast month, the Morning Express Breakfast Club will boast an interactive Morning Moments’ section, for members to share stories of how they start their day, and a variety of member groups, blogs and message boards to discuss maintaining a healthy, yet decadent, morning routine.

Move Over Bland Breakfast Bars and Boring Cereal

When surveyed by Smart Ones brand, almost half of Americans reported being tired of eating the same bland breakfast foods.
