Sep. 29--A multi-vehicle wreck is causing traffic problems at midday Monday on Carmel Road in south Charlotte.
The wreck was reported about 11:30 a.m. on Carmel Road at Bridgewood Lane. That is about three blocks north of Quail Hollow Road.
Charlotte fire Capt. Rob Brisley said the wreck caused damage to power lines in the area. One person was injured, but Brisley said it appears as if the injuries are not life-threatening.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are directing traffic through the area, but some lane closures and detours are likely until at least 1:30 p.m.
