HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced the appointment of Lynn Pendergrass as
senior vice president for the Americas region of its Imaging and
Printing Group (IPG), which includes the United States, Canada, Mexico,
Latin America and the Caribbean.
She will have responsibility for maximizing the group’s
profit and revenue growth in the Americas region, extending its market
leadership position, driving HP’s company-wide
consumer go-to-market activities and ensuring a superior customer
experience. She will oversee all IPG sales as well as its operational
supply chain, marketing, consumer support and category management
activities.
Pendergrass, 48, comes to HP from GE. She will be based in San Diego and
report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of IPG. Her
appointment is effective Oct. 20.
“Lynn has an impressive track record of
driving profitable growth for fast-paced, global organizations,”
said Joshi. “Her ability to look at products
from the customer’s perspective while
promoting innovation will help us create and execute aggressive growth
strategies.”
In November 2005, Pendergrass assumed the role of president and chief
executive officer of GE’s Consumer &
Industrial (C&I) Americas unit, a $10 billion annual revenue business.
In this position, she had direct responsibility for all
commercial-related activities for appliances, lighting and industrial
products throughout North America as well as profit and loss
responsibilities, including manufacturing and technology, for all
activities within the Americas. She also has had business-wide
responsibility for GE C&I’s global product
management and marketing activities, and led its Consumer Home Services
business.
Pendergrass holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in
chemical engineering from the University of Louisville. She replaces Lee
Ray Massey, who is retiring following 28 years of service at HP.
