MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) and Italy's Eni have agreed to sign a deal on management of the assets of OJSC Arcticgas, a former Yukos asset that Eni bought in 2007, by the end of October, the Russian gas giant said.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and his Eni counterpart Paolo Scaroni.
The agreement will set down a plan for the development of Arcticgas and the terms for selling and transporting the gas produced by the company.
It will also provide for Gazprom's entry into hydrocarbons exploration and production projects in Libya.
Miller and Scaroni also noted progress with the South Stream pipeline project and discussed further action related to the project.
