Oct 4 (Interfax) - An operation that began on Saturday morning in a key city in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia and had the declared goal of foiling terrorism plots ended in the afternoon, and, "according to preliminary information, the operation has produced no results," a spokesman for a senior Ingush security agency said.

The spokesman said the authorities had lifted all restrictions on the local population that had been imposed during the operation, whose site was the Gamurziyevo municipal district of Nazran city.
