Oct 5 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will adhere to a multivectored line when transiting energy resources to world markets, including through Azerbaijan and Georgia, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov said at a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Astana on Sunday.

"The prime minister confirmed that Kazakhstan still supports multivectored policy of transiting energy, including through Azerbaijan and Georgia," the Kazakh governmental press service said in a statement published in the wake of the meeting.

Astana "understands the role and place of Kazakhstan in the region and responsibility for ensuring stability in the whole Central Asia, both in the area of food and energy security," Masimov said.
