CINCINNATI, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- xpedx(R) today said it has begun
upgrading its U.S. distribution network with a radio frequency (RF)-enabled
warehouse management system that will bring important new advantages and
expanded services to xpedx customers worldwide.

xpedx has contracted with RedPrairie(R), a global provider of supply chain
management software, to provide the new information technology and related
services that will be used across the xpedx distribution network.
Upon implementation, xpedx customers will see benefits including increased
supply chain productivity, activity-based costing and other measurement tools,
order accuracy and quicker order turnaround, shorter travel time and real-time
inventory tracking.
xpedx said the new warehouse management system will also enable it to
expand delivery of high-demand kitting, fulfillment and inventory consignment
services.
