'Singing Can' Ad is Dr Pepper for the Ears
PLANO, Texas, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The newest television ad spot forDr Pepper is bursting with flavor, literally. Dr Pepper, a brand known forits iconic 10, 2 and 4 and I'm a Pepper branded advertisements, turned toFlavor Flav, the man who is known for wearing an oversized clock hanging fromhis neck, for the commercial.
In his commercial debut, Flavor Flav gives voice to one of Dr Pepper's 23flavors, delivering a creative and unique commercial that depicts that thereis something new to discover in every sip of Dr Pepper.

The commercial was created by Young & Rubicam and directed by RobPritts. It opens with a college student listening to a lecture on a collegecampus. The student opens a can of Dr Pepper, unleashing the 23 flavors ofDr Pepper, which disrupt the professor's lecture. The recognizable voice ofFlavor Flav begins singing about how 'flavorlicious' Dr Pepper is, andcaptures the attention of all the other students and the professor. Thestudent covers the can, but a salsa rhythm begins playing as soon as he takeshis hand away for another drink. After quieting the Dr Pepper a third time, afinal flavor plays a heavy metal riff to conclude the commercial.
