“First Blood” is presented by NCM’s Fathom and Lionsgate, Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. local time at more than 430 participating AMC, Clearview, Cinemark USA Inc., Goodrich Quality Theaters, Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, National Amusements and Regal Entertainment Group movie theatres, as well as the Penn Cinema (Lititz, PA) through NCM’s exclusive Digital Broadcast Network. The event celebrates the release of Rambo: The Complete Collector’s Set, a 6-disc set featuring all 4 Rambo films, on DVD May 27.
Writer, director and actor Stallone stars as war hero John Rambo, an ex-Green Beret haunted by memories of Vietnam who was once the perfect killing machine. Fans can again see where it all started in “First Blood,” where Rambo escapes from being unjustly imprisoned, using his cunning combat and weapons training to stay alive as he becomes the target in a massive manhunt.
“NCM FATHOM is excited to bring this Rambo classic back to theatres more than 25 years after the original release – but with an exciting alternative ending no one has seen on the big screen – until now,” said Dan Diamond, vice president of NCM FATHOM.
