TSX Venture: TRS
TORONTO, June 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Tres-Or Resources Ltd.('Tres-Or' or the 'Company') has extended our new discovery of kimberlite inQuebec, which we originally reported in a news release dated June 13, 2008.The second drill hole intersected kimberlite breccia from beneath overburdenat 45 m (32 m vertical) to 130 m (81 m vertical), at an inclination of 45degrees. At 130 m, the drill hole entered metasedimentary country rock untilthe end of the hole at 147 m. It was drilled from the north, and thus thekimberlite-metasediment contact at 130 m defines the southern wall of thebody, which appears to be pipe-like in shape. Like the discovery hole, thissecond drill hole entered kimberlite directly from overburden, and thus thenorth boundary of the kimberlite remains open.
The intersected rock is interpreted as serpentine and calcite kimberlitecarrying visually identified pyrope garnet, chrome diopside, phlogopite, andmantle peridotite xenoliths, as well as abundant limestone xenoliths (mostless than 10 cm across), some of which carry fossils.
A third drill hole has begun in the center of the body, drillingvertically to a target depth of 250 m in order to determine whether differentkimberlite phases may be encountered at depth.
Following completion of this vertical drill test, a second target ofsimilar geophysical character will be tested approximately 5 km to thesouthwest. Kimberlite from each phase identified in the detail core loggingfrom the first three drill holes will be tested for microdiamonds andindicator mineral chemistry, with results reported when available later thissummer.
Diamond Discoveries (Canada) Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary or DiamondDiscoveries International Corp., has a Letter of Intent agreement to earn upto a 50% interest in certain of the Notre Dame du Nord, Quebec properties byspending a total of $1,500,000 in exploration. Tres-Or is the projectOperator.
