Company Launches Female Focused Online Network
Recently Launched ZAZ Report to be Anchor of Network
National Lampoon, Inc. (AMEX:NLN), the most widely recognized brand in
comedy, today announced the formation of The ZAZ Network. The ZAZ
Network has been formed as a sister network to the rapidly growing
National Lampoon Humor Network, and follows the launch by National
Lampoon of the ZAZ Report.
The ZAZ Network will provide advertisers with a highly targeted means of
reaching the much sought after female demographic. The ZAZ Network will
consist of a number of female focused comedy, gossip, and celebrity
sites. The network will launch with a core group of affiliate sites and
will add additional sites in the coming months.
The ZAZ Network is the third niche online ad network launched by
National Lampoon. Since the launch of the National Lampoon Humor
Network, which has grow to over 6 million unique visitors per month, the
company last year launched the Drunk University Network, focusing
strongly on the college audience. The formation of The ZAZ Network will
ensure that the National Lampoon Humor Network retains its core youth
focus on entertaining and compelling comedy. The company’s
unique strategy combines the “online ad network”
model with the ability to bring real added value to network affiliates
through the many other National Lampoon media platforms.
“The launch of The ZAZ Network gives National
Lampoon another way online to connect with and build upon its audience,”
said National Lampoon Chief Executive Officer Daniel Laikin. “As
a partner to the National Lampoon Humor Network and the Drunk University
Network, ZAZ will give National Lampoon advertisers a more targeted
online distribution platform, while also creating another Lampoon
seedbed through which we can discover up-and-coming comedic talent and
content to leverage through our other media platforms.”
