ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- MichBio announced that Johnson &
Johnson Vice Chairman, Christine A. Poon will be the keynote speaker for its
statewide Expo and Conference November 18-19 in Novi, Michigan. MichBio is
the association for Michigan's life science industry, and its annual Expo is
the state's premier life science event attracting more than 450 attendees and
60 exhibitors last year.
'Christine is one of the most respected professionals in the industry, and
we are absolutely thrilled to be able to bring her to Michigan for the MichBio

Johnson & Johnson is a 122 year-old multinational conglomerate that
continues with leadership positions in consumer health products,
pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biologics. Ms. Poon joined Johnson &
Johnson in 2000 as Group Chairman in the Pharmaceuticals Group. She was named
Worldwide Chairman, Medicines & Nutritionals in 2003 and was appointed Vice
Chairman in 2005. In January of this year, she was named Worldwide Chairman
of the Pharmaceuticals Group. She is responsible for managing the
pharmaceutical, consumer pharmaceutical and nutritional businesses of the
company, in addition to overseeing its expanding R&D pipeline. She is also a
member of the company's Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Ms. Poon served in various management
positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company for 15 years, most recently as
President of International Medicines (1998-2000) and President of Medical
Devices (1997-1998). She is a Director of Prudential Financial Inc., the
US-China Business Council, and the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia PA.
Ms. Poon received her BA in Biology from Northwestern University, her M.S. in
Biology and Biochemistry from St. Louis University, and an MBA in Finance from
Boston University.
Expo Program Adds New Features
In addition to Ms. Poon's keynote address, this year's Expo provides a
robust schedule of offerings covering two full days with several new program
features. Additions to the program include:
