NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- A Friedman Billings Ramsey Group (NYSE:FBR) (FBR) spokeswoman confirmed Friday that analysts Robert H. Uhl and Fadi Shadid left the firm effective Thursday.
Uhl covered specialty pharmaceuticals and Shadid covered energy and natural resources. The spokeswoman said some of their coverage would be transferred and some coverage would be dropped. She said FBR declined to comment on reasons for departures because the firm doesn't comment on past employees.
According to FBR's Web site, Uhl covered the health-care sector for 20 years. He joined the firm in 2004 as senior vice president and senior analysts covering the specialty pharmaceutical sector. Shadid joined FBR in December 2000, focusing on the electric power and coal sectors.

(NASDAQ-NMS:TEVA) (TEVA), Salix Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ-NMS:SLXP) ( SLXP), Par Pharmaceutical Cos (NYSE:PRX) . (PRX), NitroMed Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:NTMD) (NTMD), Nastech Pharmaceutical Co. (NASDAQ-NMS:NSTK) (NSTK), Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:ENDP) (ENDP), Dusa Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:DUSA) (DUSA) and CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:CGPI) (CGPI).
