Enbridge Inc 1Q Net $103.9 Million; Revenue Up 42% To $2.44 Billion

Enbridge Energy Partners LP's (NYSE:EEP) (EEP) first-quarter net income jumped to $103.9 million, or 99 cents a share, from $39.1 million, or 40 cents a share, a year ago.

Adjusted earnings for the Houston oil and natural gas transportation systems operator rose to $167.3 million, or 89.4 cents a share, from $118.3 million, or 55.4 cents a share, a year ago.

Revenue rose 42% to $2.44 billion from $1.71 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, on average, expected earnings of 75 cents a share on revenue of $2.07 billion.
