Equity One Inc. (NYSE:EQY) (EQY) named Thomas Caputo president, effective Monday.

The North Miami Beach, Fla., real estate investment trust said Caputo previously served as executive vice president of portfolio management and acquisitions for Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE:KIM) (KIM).

Shares of Equity One fell a penny to $21.75 in after-hours trading and closed down 52 cents, or 2.3%, during the regular session.
