Citizens Communications (NYSE:CZN) (CZN) said Tuesday its fourth-quarter profit declined 7.7% to $59 million, or 18 cents a share, from $63.9 million, or 20 cents a share, a year earlier.
The Stamford, Conn., company said revenue for the quarter rose 14% to $577.2 million from $504.4 million in the same period a year ago.
The company also said its board authorized the repurchase of up to $200 million in shares over the next 12 months.
