Quebecor Inc. (Toronto:QBR.B) (QBR.B.T) will delay the release of its consolidated financial statements for the first quarter ended March 31.

The Montreal holding company said the release of its results depends on the timing of the release of Quebecor World Inc.'s (Toronto:IQW) (IQW.T) results. It said it expects to release the results in early June.

The company plans to ask the Quebec Securities Commission to impose a management cease-trade order precluding Quebecor's directors and officers from trading in its securities.

If results for the quarter aren't filed by July 15, cease trade orders may be in effect for all of its securities.

Quebecor Inc. holds interests in Quebecor Media Inc. and Quebecor World. Quebecor World is operating under bankruptcy protection in the U.S. and Canada.
