Hercules Technology Growth Capital Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:HTGC) (HTGC) expects to book a potential gain from GlaxoSmithKline PLC's (NYSE:GSK) (GSK) agreement to acquire Sirtris Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:SIRT) (SIRT) for $22.50 a share, or about $720 million.

Hercules, a Palo Alto, Calif., specialty finance company, provided Sirtris, a biopharmaceutical company, with $15 million in debt financing in April 2006. Sirtris completed its initial public offering in May 2007, raising $62.4 million.

Hercules Technology didn't specify the amount of the potential gain.
